At Cleveland Gaming Classic, we got to do something we love: step out from behind the workbench and meet the people who care about gaming hardware as much as we do.
The GameTraderZero booth was part working shop, part custom hardware showcase, and part place to hang out. Visitors could watch mods happen live, try out upgrades, and get a closer look at the details that make a controller or console feel like their own.
The workbench was open
We put our Build Cam on a big screen so people could watch hardware modifications and upgrades as they happened. It’s one thing to see a finished piece; it’s another to see the care that goes into building it.
We also offered on-site TMR Analogue stick upgrades for visitors who brought their controllers. Being able to talk through an upgrade and see the work happen in person made the booth feel less like a display and more like a working shop.
Custom hardware you could actually try
We brought custom Switch 2 Joy-Cons, Switch 2 Pro Controllers, PS5 controllers, Game Boys, and more for visitors to see up close. But the looks were just the beginning. People could try out and explore upgrades too, from clicky tactile button mods and LED-backlit buttons to battery upgrades and plenty more. Feeling a button press for yourself says more than a product photo ever could.
A place to chill, play, and share a Red Bull
We were excited to work with Red Bull to set up a chill corner at the booth. Visitors could grab a refreshing can of Red Bull, sit down for video games together, and simply hang out. Between Switch 2 and PS5 couch sessions, it became a place to take a break and enjoy the part of gaming that brings people together.
The best part was meeting you
Cleveland Gaming Classic gave us a chance to show what we make, but the conversations were the real highlight. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to watch a mod, try a controller, ask a question, or just talk games with us.
We left Cleveland with new ideas and a reminder of why we build in the first place: great hardware is more fun when you can share it with a community. More events, more mods, and more moments to come.
